Images taken from my up and coming book ‘Hong Kong Barbers Grooming Evolution’. Two and a half years in the making this project reflects a trade that has inspired generations of barbers from the 1960s to the present day, that have been able to sustain and make a living in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Hong Kong has been my home now for over 11 years, and cultural influences of men’s grooming practices and artistic synergy of traditions old and new characterise the new age of Hong Kong barbering business of today. This book is a series of photos that records places and events that are continually evolving in a city that never sleeps.
